This site seems a cut above the rest in that the emphasis is on you feeling safe in your search for someone special. There's a 'Code of ethics' and they state 'We provide a safe environment for people serious about meeting someone. Our Customer Care team review all profiles and photos before they are published', and you are expected to be honest and upfront, no photos over three years old and undoctored, and the emphasis is on behaving properly and respecting everyone else. That's a good start.
They have an online magazine with articles about how to behave on a date, who should pay, how to deal with time wasters and with rejection, and sexual etiquette, so something for everyone! Those who are keen to meet someone special or even their soulmate or life partner, will feel at home and able to flirt by email withing minutes.
The site isn't free. But there's no clue on price until you become registered, and there's no search until then as well, so you can't try it out. There's heavy emphasis on using your legal names etc. [just for regisration, not revealed to other members] so they are clearly keen to keep out anyone who isn't genuine. They won't accept anyone who's been convicted for sex or violence, and there's a bar on those banned from any other web dating sites. This all serves to make those genuinely seeking singles for dates and relationships feel safe. Plenty of advice and reassurance for the shy, and a wide range of different singles wanting to meet.
So if you have no problem with a paying site, register for free and have a look around. You may decide to pay and get the benefits of full membership and perhaps meet your life partner, soulmate, true love or best friend. It's just people meeting people, but easier than walking into a party full of strangers.
